How to Delete Your Data
BuzzInbox stores all notification data locally on your device. We do not maintain any server-side user accounts. Below are the ways you can delete your data.
1 In-App Data Management
You can manage and delete your data directly from within the app.
Automatic Notification Cleanup
BuzzInbox automatically deletes old notifications based on your retention setting:
- Open BuzzInbox
- Open the navigation drawer and tap Settings
- Under Privacy & Data, adjust the Data Retention slider
- Set it to your preferred number of days (e.g., 7 days) — notifications older than this are automatically deleted
Delete Individual Notifications
- Open BuzzInbox
- Swipe a notification or open it and tap the Delete button
Clear All App Data (Android System)
To delete all notifications, rules, settings, and cached data at once:
- Open your device Settings
- Go to Apps (or Apps & notifications)
- Find and tap BuzzInbox
- Tap Storage & cache
- Tap Clear storage (or Clear data)
- Confirm — this removes all locally stored data
2 Uninstall the App
Uninstalling BuzzInbox automatically removes all locally stored data from your device:
- All stored notifications
- All custom rules and filters
- All tab configurations
- All app settings and preferences
- All cached data and local backups
To uninstall:
- Long-press the BuzzInbox app icon on your home screen
- Tap Uninstall (or drag to the "Uninstall" area)
- Confirm the uninstallation
3 Delete Google Drive Backup
If you enabled cloud sync, your rules and settings (never notification content) are backed up to your personal Google Drive. Uninstalling the app does not remove this backup — you must delete it manually.
Remove Backup Data from Google Drive
- Open Google Drive
- Go to Settings (gear icon) → Manage Apps
- Find BuzzInbox in the list
- Click Options → Delete hidden app data
- Confirm deletion
Disconnect Google Account from BuzzInbox
- Open BuzzInbox
- Open the navigation drawer and tap Backup & Sync
- Tap Sign Out
Revoke App Access Entirely
- Go to Google Account Permissions
- Find BuzzInbox in the list of third-party apps
- Click Remove Access
- This revokes all permissions and prevents future syncs

Data Retention
- Local data: Deleted immediately upon your request or when you uninstall the app.
- Cloud backups: Remain in your personal Google Drive until you manually delete them (see Option 3 above).
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data is not tied to your identity and cannot be individually deleted.
No Server-Side Accounts
BuzzInbox does not create or maintain any server-side user accounts. There is no account to "delete" on our end.
All your data is either:
- Stored locally on your device (deleted on uninstall), or
- Backed up to your personal Google Drive (under your control).
We do not store your email address, user profile, notification content, or any personally identifiable information on our servers.
