BuzzInbox ("the App") is developed by TazLabs ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Android notification management application.
By using BuzzInbox, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Information We Collect
Notification Data
BuzzInbox uses Android's Notification Listener Service to read your device notifications, including titles, content, app sources, timestamps, and available actions. All notification data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database and is never transmitted to our servers.
User Settings & Preferences
Your app configuration, custom rules, tab settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms.
Account Information
If you choose to enable Google Drive cloud sync, we request access to your Google account email address solely for authentication purposes. We do not access any other Google account data.
Device Information
For crash reporting purposes, we collect basic device information including device model, Android version, and available memory. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
- Notification management: To organize, categorize, filter, and display your notifications according to your preferences and rules.
- On-device AI processing: To categorize notifications, generate summaries, and provide smart replies — all processing happens entirely on your device using Google ML Kit.
- Cloud sync (optional): If enabled, to synchronize your rules, custom tabs, and settings across devices via your personal Google Drive account.
- Crash reporting: To identify and fix bugs and improve app stability.
- Analytics: To understand anonymous usage patterns and improve the app experience.
- Advertising: To display banner advertisements through Google AdMob.

Permissions
BuzzInbox requests the following permissions to function:

Optional permissions are only requested when you use the specific feature that requires them. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.
Data Storage & Security
Your notification content never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers.
- Local storage: All notification data, rules, and settings are stored in an encrypted local database on your device.
- Data retention: Notification data is automatically deleted after 30 days by default. You can adjust this period in the app settings.
- Cloud sync: If enabled, only your rules, custom tabs, and settings (not notification content) are synced to your personal Google Drive in app-specific storage that only BuzzInbox can access.
- Local backups: The app maintains up to 5 automatic local backups of your settings on your device.
Advertising
BuzzInbox displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob. These ads may use anonymous advertising identifiers to serve relevant advertisements. We do not share any personal information or notification data with advertisers.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings under Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.
Children's Privacy
BuzzInbox is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete your data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. You can also clear data from the app settings. See our Data Deletion Policy for detailed instructions.
- Disable cloud sync: Disconnect Google Drive at any time from the Backup & Sync settings.
- Opt out of analytics: Disable Firebase Analytics in the app's privacy settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads: Adjust your device's advertising settings.
- Revoke permissions: Remove any granted permission through your device's app settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
